Our Process
We understand that getting started with services can feel overwhelming. Our team is here to guide and support your family through each step of the process, from initial inquiry to the start of therapy services.
Phase 1:
Getting Started
Gather Information
Our team will collect some basic demographic and insurance information to learn more about your child and their unique strengths and support needs.
Verify Benefits
We will complete a thorough review of your insurance benefits and discuss any potential out-of-pocket costs with you before services begin.
Submit Documentation
We’ll help you gather the documentation needed to move forward with insurance approval and treatment planning, such as:
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Referral or prescription for ABA services
- Insurance information
Phase 2:
Assessment & Planning
Attend Caregiver Orientation
Kore offers a complimentary Caregiver Orientation prior to onboarding with services. This meeting is designed to help families feel informed and supported before services begin and includes:
- An overview of ABA therapy
- What the enrollment process looks like
- Examples of treatment planning and goals
- What to expect during services at Kore
- Helpful resources and opportunities for questions
Receive Assessment Authorization
Our team will request approval from your insurance company for an initial assessment. Once approved, a clinician will contact you to schedule an in-person assessment with you and your child.
Complete Assessment & Treatment Planning
A BCBA will meet with you and your child to assess current strengths, skills, and areas of need. Based on the assessment, the BCBA will develop individualized treatment recommendations, including:
- Recommended service hours
- Location of services
- Personalized treatment goals
Families will have the opportunity to review and discuss recommendations before services begin. A BCBA student may also be present during the appointment to provide additional support.
Phase 3:
Beginning Services
Receive Treatment Authorization
Once the treatment plan is completed, our team will submit it to your insurance company for review and approval of ongoing therapy services.
Begin Services
Once scheduling is finalized, your child’s care team will provide a start date and help your family prepare for the transition into services at Kore.
